The Lowe Family Project
Instantaneous Backup
The Lowe Family Home project was driven by a very specific need: reliable, uninterrupted power. Because the homeowners work from home, even short power outages created major disruptions. A traditional generator solution was ruled out early, as the transfer switch would still result in a momentary loss of power—something that was not acceptable for their work-from-home setup. Instead, we designed a solution centered around instantaneous backup using a whole-home battery system. The home was equipped with a FranklinWH whole-home battery system, providing seamless, automatic backup power with no interruption when the grid goes down. To further enhance resiliency and efficiency, we also installed a small solar array. The battery system is capable of charging directly from the grid and remaining in standby mode, fully prepared for outages. During extended outages, the solar system helps recharge the batteries, extending backup duration, while also providing a modest reduction in the home’s overall utility costs during normal operation. The result is a highly reliable, low-maintenance energy solution designed specifically for continuous uptime and peace of mind.
